Description
The Associazione Italiana Studenti di Fisica (AISF) is the national committee of Italian physics students. It was created during ICPS 2014, in Heidelberg (Germany), where a group of about 20 Italian students decided to attempt the foundation of a new national group of IAPS. Within a few months, AISF registered as an official non-profit organisation in Italy. Its status of national representative for physics students has also been accepted by the Italian Physical Society.
AISF became a provisional IAPS National Committee in February 2015 and was accepted as full NC in August 2015. Today it is the organizer of the Particle and Astroparticle Physics Autumn Programme (PAPAP), Lights of Tuscany (LOT), the German Italian Physics Exchange (GIPE), the Italian Conference of Physics Students (CISF) and takes part every year in the PLANCKS competition. AISF hosted the 32nd edition of ICPS, in August 2017.
