Suomen fysiikan- ja matematiikanopiskelijat ry (SFMO) (English translation: Finnish Association of Physics and Mathematics Students) is the national committee of Finnish physics and mathematics students. We are an umbrella organization with 12 local student committees as our members. These twelve organizations cover all of the physics students in Finland plus a little more as most of our member organizations are not exclusively for physics students. Their members include mathematics, chemistry and engineering students. Our local committees contain approximately 4000 members combined.
SFMO has up to 16 board members with an annual budget of around 500 €. That money comes from the annual membership fees which are 40 € per local committee. Our most important annual event is IntegraatioFest, a kind of national version of ICPS, organized in a changing city. This event gathers together up to 250 physics and mathematics students from all around Finland. We hold two general meetings a year one of which is held during IntegraatioFest.
