Deadline for ICPS Worldwide Grant EXTENDED
The big idea of the IAPS is to enable more and more students from far-away countries to come and enjoy physics with us! This is why we’re giving everybody another chance to participate in the ICPS Worldwide Grant competition. This is your chance to get a free trip to the ICPS conference in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2013.
Read more about this opportunity at https://www.iaps.info/grants/icps-grant
We’re looking forward to your applications, until March 29! Good luck!

Imagine spending 3 weeks of your summer in beautiful countryside scenery working with other students from all over the world on an astronomical project of your choice. The International Astronomical Youth Camp (IAYC) is a three-week long summer camp aiming to promote knowledge on astronomy and related sciences in a unique international atmosphere. Each year it takes place in a different European location, this year near the small town of Klingenthal in the region of Vogtland, situated in the East of Germany.
The IAYC is different from most astronomical camps for two reasons: the international character and the fact that you carry out your own small research project. You will not just accept facts, but you will discover them yourself or working together with other people. The IAYC is therefore not like staying in a hotel and following a summer school or an astronomy course. We are proud that award winning projects were carried out during the camp and many of the IAYC alumni chose science as their profession and work in leading astronomical centers.
“Sarajevo School of High Energy Physics 2013” (SSHEP 2013) will be held at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo from May 21 to May 25, 2013. The School aims at the graduate students who are interested in topics pertaining to High Energy Physics (HEP).
The application process for participation at SSHEP 2013 was opened on January 1st, 2013. Application closing date is March 24th, 2013. To apply, it is sufficient to send a short Curriculum Vitae and a Letter of Motivation to any of e-mail addresses listed on the SSHEP 2013 web site. All students who would require support for travel and lodging during the School are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
