Registration Fee Waiver Grant

We are thrilled to announce the introduction of a new initiative within the International Association of Physics Students – the ICPS2026 Registration Fee Waiver Grant. This grant is designed to empower physics students from all corners of the globe to participate in the International Conference of Physics Students (ICPS) by covering their registration fees.

Grant Details:

  • Supporting Amount: Full registration fee waiver
  • Supported Students: TBA

To ensure fairness and inclusivity, applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Active engagement in IAPS or IAPS TC/LC
  • Motivation to attend ICPS2026 (evaluated through the Statement of Motivation). 
  • Current academic level (Bachelor’s and Master’s students may receive additional consideration due to generally having fewer funding opportunities than PhD students). 
  • Geographic diversity among the selected awardees (to avoid a disproportionate number of grants being awarded to applicants from the same country)

Requirements:

  • Be a current IAPS Member. 
  • Accept the IAPS Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, and all other applicable IAPS regulations. 
  • Not be a member of the current IAPS EC. 
  • Present a poster or an oral presentation at ICPS2026.
  • Not receive equivalent financial support for the same travel expenses from another grant or funding programme.

Recipients of the ICPS2026 Registration Fee Waiver Grant are expected to:

  • Attend the full ICPS2026 conference. 
  • Contribute to IAPS outreach activities during or after the conference (e.g. by writing an article, recording a testimonial, or creating other promotional content for IAPS).

Awarding Process:

  • After the event, recipients will be required to submit a post-statement to the Executive Committee.
  • Reimbursement of any additional related expenses will be processed upon submission of receipts and completion of the reimbursement form, within a two-week period.
